Write to Creed

A page for correspondence

The correspondent reads everything that arrives. He replies to most. He answers, when the message is well composed, with the same patience the message itself shows. He is not, however, a discussion forum, and he reserves the right to consider his reply at the appropriate length of time.

The masthead lists three preferences for communication, in their proper order: phone conversations, physically written letters, and — in third place, but acceptably so — written email. This page is for the third. Should you wish to use one of the first two, the correspondent will, in due course, reach you by other means. (He has, more often than not, already noted your number.)

Choose the kind of letter you wish to write. The button will open your mail client with a useful subject line already in place. Write what you would write. Send when you are ready.

Or, if no button suits, write directly to:

— Letters sent become correspondence on file. Selected ones may, in time, find their way into a future page. —

A note for those clicking from a device without a mail client configured: the buttons above will produce a quiet failure. In that case, copy the address shown above and write from whichever mail service you ordinarily use. The correspondent will not know the difference.
